Agrion awarded one of the best farmers of Thrace province, Maria Nikolova. The prize in the Maritsa newspaper competition was bestowed by the operations director of Agrion and Agribusinessman of the year 2020, Nikolay Minev.

As a farmer, I congratulate all the awardees who, with their work, innovation and ambition, show that even in the current conditions, agriculture is a sustainable business that manages to survive even in the most difficult situation. I want to assure you that "Agrion " will continue to be a correct partner of Bulgarian farmers - both with the financial services we offer and with the transparent and fair conditions for renting land, said Minev when presenting the award.

Maria Nikolova is a representative of the young generation of farmers who apply innovative technologies in their work. Together with her husband, she manages a model greenhouse near Tsalapitsa, where seeds and vegetables are grown according to the highest international standards.

For this reason, every year students from South Africa intern at her farm and gain experience. Maria and her husband are distributors of Dutch seed producer Enza Zaden.
