Agrion’s CEO highlights the advantages of digital auctions in interviews with the 24 Chasa newspaper and BG Farmer
Transparency and a level playing field
“We use sealed-bid auctions. Each farmer submits their own bid without knowing the offers of the other candidates. This creates fair competition and eliminates the possibility of manipulation," explains Nikolay Minev.
The model guarantees a level playing field for all participants—whether it’s a large commercial enterprise or a small family farm. There are no prior agreements, no privileged candidates.
Digitization for easier access
The process is digitized and accessible from anywhere in the country. Farmers can view all properties online, review the terms, and submit a bid in minutes.
“A farmer from Vidin can apply for land in Yambol just as easily as a local farmer,” Minev emphasizes.
Flexibility Instead of Long-Term Commitments
Leasing gives farmers the opportunity to experiment with new crops or regions without long-term financial commitments, especially at a time when land prices are high.
“Contracts with Agrion are legally sound, with clearly defined rights and obligations, which provides security for both parties,” adds the company’s CEO.
Efficiency-Based Land Parcels
The parcels are organized at the land parcel level, allowing farmers to combine areas through usage agreements.
The campaign runs until April 4
Anyone looking to expand their farm with high-quality agricultural land has the opportunity to participate under equal, transparent, and fair conditions.
