A total of 11 agricultural producers, from over 50 nominated from the regions of Plovdiv, Pazardzhik and Haskovo, competed for the Agro Oscars of Maritsa newspaper.

Atanas Iliev is a fourth-generation livestock farmer. Due to his strong connection with the livelihood, he puts away his civil engineering diploma and accepts the challenges of the difficult farming craft.

His herd numbers 700 animals from the dairy breeds Bulgarian Black and White Cattle and Holstein, and the mixed breed for milk and meat Simmental. In their effort to produce clean and quality food, Atanas and his wife began crafting delicacies from veal under the brand "Farm Argirovi".

Georgi Vidolov is a mechanical engineer by education but a farmer by calling. He cultivates over 27 thousand decares, mainly in the territory of Saedinenie municipality.

In his efforts to solve numerous problems in the industry, Georgi Vidolov created the Bulgarian Rice Association 15 years ago. It unites all rice producers in the country, who number around 50.
