Nikolay Minev in an interview for "24 Hours": Plovdiv remains the heart of Bulgarian agriculture despite market challenges

The agricultural land market in Bulgaria is going through a difficult period with a drastic decline in transaction activity. According to Agrion CEO Nikolay Minev, the crisis in the agricultural sector, international challenges, and climate change are causing producers and buyers to be extremely cautious. The result: prices are falling by up to 20%, and new sellers are appearing on the market, including investors and foreign companies that are rethinking their presence in the sector and prefer to exit the market before incurring greater losses.
"If you are unable to farm your land, it is better to sell it while prices are still at reasonable levels," recommends Nikolay Minev, emphasizing that Agrion offers a free appraisal of agricultural land by calling 0800 111 66 or submitting an online request at www.agrion.bg. Each offer is individual and is prepared using specialized software within a maximum of two days, with the company taking on all the administrative burden and providing free legal advice.
The Plovdiv region has the potential to become a leader in the application of innovation. Agrion is already implementing artificial intelligence solutions for precise property valuation, yield forecasting, automatic irrigation management, and crop profitability calculation. Combining the region's traditional strengths with new digital solutions could make Plovdiv and Southern Bulgaria leaders in European agriculture, says Agrion's CEO.
