AgriOn's CEO shares his expert vision for the future of Bulgarian agriculture with Capital's specialized agriculture publication.
Regarding the most significant challenges facing the sector, Nikolay Minev points to two critical areas. "First, I would mention the unsatisfactory management of natural resources, especially the state of irrigation systems," he comments. The second problem is fragmented ownership - "the lack of land consolidation is one of the main obstacles to the development of irrigation infrastructure."
After years of growth, the agricultural land market is undergoing a period of reassessment. "The main criteria are now potential for sustainable growth and actual productivity," explains the CEO, predicting increased consolidation in the sector.
AgriOn continues to be a proven partner through digitized services and maximum transparency. "Our goal is to direct land to active farmers with the capacity for long-term and sustainable investment."
