Nikolay Minev: The agricultural land market in Bulgaria is undergoing a transformation

The Bulgarian agricultural land market is undergoing significant changes - prices are falling and large investors are withdrawing from the sector. This was shared by Nikolay Minev, CEO of Agrion, in an interview with Zemedeletsa.bg.

The decline is due to the decrease in corporate buyers, the effects of the Green Deal, the rise in fertilizer prices, and climate change.

"There is a new wave of sellers - investors who acquired land years ago solely for investment purposes. At the same time, there is growing interest from active farmers," explains Nikolay Minev.

Preparing for the euro

Since August, Agrion has been announcing prices in both leva and euros. "I recommend that owners who are planning to sell do so now, before the changes and while the decline has not yet become noticeable," advises Agrion's CEO.

Digitalization and transparency

Agrion focuses on long-term contracts and digital processes. All documents for participation in the auctions are published on www.agrion.bg, ensuring transparent conditions for all participants.

"The future will belong to producers who combine traditional agricultural knowledge with digital technologies and sustainable practices," emphasizes Nikolay Minev.
