Agrion presented an award to one of the best farmers of Thrace, Sunay Karaasan. The prize of the newspaper. Maritza was awarded to his daughter Aysun Karaasan by Agrion's Chief Operating Officer and Agribusinessman of 2020, Nikolay Minev.
Our motto is "Land in good hands". I would paraphrase it as good reward in good hands. And when good hands meet good land, which Agrion has, the result is good food on the table, happy farmers and a prosperous country, Minev said when presenting the award.
Sunay is known in Thrace as the King of the Horses. Along with cows and other animals, he raises heavy horses, mainly of the Percheron breed, which he imported from France. He and another man from Northern Bulgaria are the only ones in the country who breed such animals.
At the moment, his farm in Peshtera breeds fattening calves of the Limousin, Charolais and Aberdeen beef breeds, and in the village of S. Aleko Konstantinovo are the mothers of the calves. Recently he bought one of the largest and most modern cow farms in the country, which is in the land of Rakovski municipality - between the villages of Borets and Momino Selo.
